List, This link to Exxon/Mobil has some information you might find useful in your Quest for Oil. Zinc, phosphorus and friction modifiers are mentioned in terms of how these and other additives are used in (Mobile1) motorcycle-specific oils and they allude to other differences between auto vs motorcycle oils. Also, be sure to check out the FAQ by clicking on the guy sitting on the bike. (don't forget, now) http://www.mobil.com/mobil1_racing/about/products/cycle/index.html Interesting points::: higher levels zinc and phosphorus (for high-stress engines), absence of friction modifiers to prevent clutch slippage, additives to neutralize crankcase corrosives during off-season storage, etc. .....you may find something useful there. eric
