Hi all, Further comments on the above. I rode about 30 miles on hard pack, powder (light to about 1 in deep) and loose gravel, and a few rutted out bits. The springs are firm and the damping controlled. The front does not wash out on the powder like it used to. The damping might be a little stiff, but the front now feels taught instead of that riding with a marshmallow front end. I can now feel the softness of the rear shock (set at 4&4). At 40/50mph over some ruts the forks did not bottom, they sure would have before, they always felt under control. I am going to make up some nylon spring spacers with 10, 15, 20, 25mm preload to experiment sometime, just for the sake of it. Mostly because Kawasaki deem it unnecessary to fit a washer between the thin steel spacer and the alloy top cap. I can see the spacer cutting a groove in the cap with a few removals. Comments?
