When I asked about installing a different ( larger ) rear sprocket, I should have said 45-46T rear rather than 41-42T. ( Its been a long day ). Thanks again, Terry

hi terry. i had a 14t on for a while this summer, and i didn't notice the problem you describe, but i doubt it's a big deal. after a bit, the rubber will wear a little and then it should stop, once it gets worn down to the same relative height to the cog. it seems to me that if you install a 41 or 42 tooth sprocket on the back, you'll actually have a higher gear, since i think 43t is stock. i looked a bit, and sidewinder sprockets claims they'll sell me a 45t steel sprocket for $69, but i'm waiting until i wear out the current set. i believe you should have sufficient adjustment to take up 2 more teeth, but probably not much more than that. mw
