yes, as Russell said, some of us on the list have been saying goodbye and paying
tribute to Eric Jazz who passed away a few days ago. Eric was an honest fiery
character with a humble heart. He was given to occasional bursts of temper and after
one particular episode in which he became frustrated with new listers refusal to
consult the archives he tried a new approach and adopted the pseudo ego of "Grog" a
cave dwelling sort who spoke in simple terms and apologized for his lack of
subtlety...Grog didn't make many appearances on the list...(much like our beloved Hiro
Watanabe)...he was more often replaced by a guy named Eric "no problem" J. and
sometimes when he absolutely couldn't stand the idea of pissing still someone else off
he would add: I NO MEAN NO BAD THING TO ANYBODY, EVERONE UNDERSTAND!

.... a very
colorful character, one of maybe my 5 all-time favorites along with another fiery KLR
rider: Juan Villareal, and Jeff "everything on my KLR is painted black" Fountain...
