commuter bike and tyres

Agree with Bill, I've got the Metzler Enduro 4s for the last 6,000 miles, so
much better than the old Michelin T66s, both on and off road. It gives great
road feedback, so much so that you know when the rear is starting to slide,
so lots of fun in the twisties.
It's wearing pretty well too, I use 30 and 32 psi front and rear
respectively, and use the same pressures in the dirt! (too lazy) estimate
that it should last another good 8 - 10,000 miles
I do about 90/10; road/dirt riding.
And yes, it's a great commuter bike...
Ride safe!

Not to mention the Open Range signs that are only 2 feet off the ground...
Just for the record I meant gusts but guts works just as well..

Thanks for the great report. As a ride report contributor, sometime
long distance rider, and having been over all the roads mentioned in
your post, I must put in my two cents, which is (are) "don't ride
into traffic when it's throwing guts at you (see above)...it's messy,
and usually a bad omen". Wind is bad, but Guts? Ick!
