I once spoke with a guy that likes to go mountain biking. He goes into the
woods, but not far from where I live in Washington state. He packs a
pistol.He told me one time he was in the woods, and confronted a pack of wild
dogs. They came at him, and he felt he was about to be their next juicy meal.
He shot one, or two, and they all took off. Since that time, he always packs
when mountain biking.
My suggestion: Charter Arms .44 Bulldog= a big, heavy bullet, at moderate
velocity.
