This is just my solution, if deemed worthy, please use. Go to Wal-Mart or wherever and get a cheap cooking pot from housewares, modeling clay from arts and crafts, a metal funnel from automotive and lead stock from sporting goods. Remove handlebars from bike and put some clay in one end of the bar, if stock bars, put it in the clutch side with a little bit of clay also put into the hole used for the control assemblys allignment. Melt the lead, in the pot, on your kitchen stove. Pour the molten lead into bars using the funnel. Let cool, remove clay, clean up bars if needed, reassemble bike. Depending on your grips and how they are attached, you may not even need to remove them for this. The bars are now full of a very dense material that will not come lose or fall out. Later. Please remember that Lead is extremely dangerous to breathe. Especially around children. Do it out side in the fresh air. You don't want to contaminate the kitchen area. George Escondido, CA

I guess I'm just beating a dead horse here (or a dead SUWA agent), but I got my first order from Fred on Monday, and he really IS fast! Thanks, Fred, and I hope you have a speedy recovery. In other news... It won't make you stop faster, but: I was flipping through the new issue of Dirt Rider last night, and there was a "first test" of the '01 KX250. One of the photo captions started with, "Kawasaki has been scrutinized for years for having mushy and underpowered brakes." So, at least they're not just neglecting the KLR! :) C -- Dr. J.
