With stock suspension and about 21-24PSI in the rear (MT21) tire I like the way my KLR seems to completely smooth out most of the washboard on local dirt roads. However, I have noticed on occasion where the road is particularly hard and bumpy (cobble for instance) that the bike really seems to buck. It feels kinda like when you are lugging the engine. Is there something I can do to get the best of both worlds? I would like to keep the current smooth response to washboard, but keep the wheel on the ground when things get bumpy? Thanks, joe

(I noticed that mine gets warm to the touch, not hot mind you, but warmer than I would expect after a low speed run ) Well , the tires will warm up and that's what make them work in the traction department. Your air pressure does seem right. It's when you can't put your hands on them that becomes a problem. Think it's a 10 percent deal on tires or something close to that. If you gain more than 10 percent in air pressure, your pressure is too low. I have had mine really hot running thru the curvy roads of the Ozarks in 100 degree weather.
