If you haven't already done so, check out the Motorcycling Amateur Radio Club's page. http://members.home.net/ve6hgw/marc/ I have not tried one yet, but the throat mics look interesting. Picks up the sound vibration from your voice box so you don't get wind noise. I just stick to using my radios when not moving, but often do pack an ICOM 706 when heading out for the weekend. I've destroyed 2 HTs due to the vibration of riding off road, so try to be careful there. If interested, set up a time and we can discuss this further on the air some day. Mike, KA7S
