help with tires

Terry,
Check into the Bridgestone TW-21 & TW-22 as replacement tires for the KLR. Unless you are into extreme off road conditions, these should give good on and off road handling characteristics. The Bridgestones are tough, and can handle a good deal of abuse. I change my tires myself, by hand, and can tell you from experience that the Bridgestone tires are more substantial than the stock Dunlops that come with the bike. On the open road, even at highway speeds they handle great, and do not develop that "wiggle" or "wave" that can come with running a dirt tire on the highway. They last long too, I get 5,000 miles out of the rear, and the front is good for 10,000 miles easily. They are great tires and they don't cost an arm and a leg.
