Brad, I haven't had to do this to the KLR but the rattling of the
chain/sprockets on both the KLX650R and the ZG1000 drove me nuts. Yes
do the above if it is loose. All three 'appear' to use the same
adjuster on my three. (depending on the model year for some) So
remove
the larger center bolt of the adjuster and insert
screwydriver/extension and push... It would be good to be at TDC for
minimum cam load.
