Bruce, Meguire's makes a plastic cleaner & plastic polish that has been used my aircraft pilots for years. It's generally available at auto parts stores for $6-$8 (USD) for an 8 oz. bottle. Use a soft cotton rag for best results. Many m/c dealers sell their 'own' brand of polish. In a pinch, a dab of toothpaste works well if not rubbed vigorously.
