Wayne, I installed an Emgo filter on a V65 Sabre a few years ago. This is a V-4, 1100 cc engine made by Honda. After a couple of weeks, I was on the interstate doing about 70 mph when the filter split wide open dumping all the oil on the exhaust pipes ... made a really cool fireball under the bike! This was a spin on filter much like a car uses and like you, I bought it when they were out of my usual brand. After getting towed to safety, I installed a Fram and added about 150,000 trouble free miles to that bike. Now, I've never heard of any trouble from Emgos but I'll never take the chance again. Wayne, I picked up an Emgo filter from a Kawi dealer when I decided to change my oil mid-vacation. After 4000k's, I didn't have any specific problems with the filter. I usually use Fram or the Kawi filter, but this one worked in a pinch. Cheers, D. GBG eh14

KORG, When i got my first KLR, i said to a friend who also rides KLR's,.. Why does this thing sound like a can o' bolts gittin shook hard? He said to me, When ya give it gas does it still go? I said yea...he said...and your prob is?!?!...lol i wonder how many of these bad noises can be attributed to ppl riding "smooth" bikes, and then riding a KLR. Compared to most other bikes(i do werk at a dealer) even my new(2001) KLR rattles, bangs, pings, shakes, vibrates, etc. my hopefully humorous 2 in the fray Bill Jr.
