Seamus. The vibration can be reduced by adding some weight to the extremities of your handlebar. Hammer in a small block of lead in the handlebar at each side. Equal on both sides. About 2 to 4 lbs each. It should help. As for the aftermarket plastics I dont think they exist. I also have a 94 KLR. It is now painted dark blue. Raz A8
