tires and kevin
Kevin,
Tires, ha ha ha, a broad subject in which all will have their opinions.
Just try what looks good to you ,. look at all the write-ups on tires
in the archives and make your own decision. We all ride and want our
scoots to handle different things and situations. Sticky tires equal
short mileage as do wheelies and burnouts. Hard tires equal longer tire
life but a bit more slippery. Some are slippery and give short life.
I have the stock front with the Avon AM24 rear which is working good on
the highway and shaky at 60 to 75 in loose gravel. I also have a set of
Kenda 270's ready for my next change out.
As far a your mech. not liking Avon's in general is about the same as
this dude not liking Kawas and this dude not liking Yamis and that one
not liking Harleys. On my BMW R11RA I'm running an Avon front and Metz
Rear combo I like because of the feed back on this bike. So, really it's
just a matter of opinion huh?
