[dsn_klr650] how do you get the seat height lower?

I normally would not think about interfering with ones right to chose but in your case I have to ask: what the heck is someone with three ruptured/bulging discs doing on a dual sport motorcycle anyway?? I am not trying to be mean just concerned. The KLR is a nice ride as dual sport cycles go but even on the road the vibration and potential for repeated vertical jolts is not therapeutic for your condition. Please tell me you are not going off-road any time soon. A concerned KORGian A14

I have not tried these tires on me KLR but I did years ago on my '95 R11GSA and didn't like them at all. Hit paint and they slip big time. Wet paint and even more fun. Also serious cupping by 6000 miles. I then went to the Avon Radials and it was like daylight and dark. But I hear the 33's 34's are having problems now according to some on this list??? Not only that, it's a bear to pick up the the bike when it's on a stable surface, much less in the dirt, or worse, loose gravel or mud. I work out with 200 lbs. I've no idea what I can bench max.,at 5'10" 165/170 the bikes got me out-weighed two to one and I wouldn't want to pick it up with a bad back under the best of conditions. Paul, the only good way is the expensive way...you need to lower the bike at the same time that you limit travel. This involves purchasing a new shock. The only vendor offering a shorter shock is Dual Star that has the exclusive on the Marine Corp shock from Progressive. Kurt
