I'm considering a KLR 650 purchase, but I have some problems with the seat height. I have a 30" inseam and three ruptured/bulging discs so getting a leg over that seat is a problem. (once on, no problems) What are the tricks for lowering the height on a KLR and how much do they reduce it? Are they worth doing? TIA! tires do you run and what will your new one be? don, Bay Area Thumpers - BATs I use those (cough) Maxxis 6006...front and rear. I get good wear and great traction, wet or dry, dirt or paved, from them. Reasonably cheap.
