Hey Don; Ive Had some time on my hands, and after some tooling, I've fabricated some plates(4) which are approximately 1.5" long and which I've bolted between the subframe and the mainframe effectively separating them 1" and raising the back end over 3-1/2"!! I've been mindfull of all clearances including the chain, and everything has enough clearance. I've taken her for a ride and with my weight (195lbs) the suspension sags to the point where the bike's height would have been if I hadn't been on it stock. I've noticed no ill handling characteristics, but then I've only been on paved surfaces. Basically, it is alot more agressive looking..but probably no more practical than a 'lift-kit'. So, in summary I haven't messed with the suspension, but basically re-vamped the rear subframe. Any thoughts from you or any of the collective?
