I use the Kaw tall windshield for everyday use and light to moderate dirt/ gravel. I use the Rifle (www.rifle.com) 16 inch windshield for extended highway trips. I use no windshield when I think that the road might get rough (like over the handle bars rough). The Rifle seriously reduces body blow, face blow, and head buffeting (at least for me). The Kaw reduces body blow but face blow and head buffeting is bad unless you duck your head down to the tank. For rough roads, streams, or un-known terrain, I would not want my head/neck near either shiled. I am Terry Brigham in Rockport, Texas. I just took delivery on a new KLR650 and am having a wonderful evening. A question arose that I am sure you guys have had before. I see that Kawasaki themselves offer a taller and wider windshield. Do any of you have any experience with this windshield and/or, the various Clearviews. I am on the verge of ordering a center stand from Dual Star as well as axle wrenches. Any input there??? Many thanks, Terry Visit the KLR650 archives at http://www.listquest.com/lq/search.html?ln=klr650 Support Dual Sport News... dsneditor@... Let's keep this list SPAM free!
