150 80/ 17

Rich, The front portion (black color) of my rear fender has been worn through on the left side where the flat portion of the fender's flange meets the sub-frame. This happened with 130/80-17 tires (not knobbies). You'll also need to check the clearance of the plastic chain guard near the front of the swingarm. Keep in mind that there can be significant height/width differences with different tire brands when they are inflated. There may also be problems with fender/tire 'bonding' under full suspension compression. I hope you're not planning on leaving the chain guard off. Beware the license plate muncher.
