Does anyone have any good/or bad experiences with Dianese Jackets. I am
trying to convince the missus that a new jacket would be a great
Christmas gift. I am looking at either the very geeky Darian Hi-viz, or
the Dianese "Eyes" jacket in yellow and black. I have seen a lot of
comments on the group (and archives) on the Darian, but have not seen
much on the quality of the Dianese jackets.
Any help would be appreciated by me, much more so than the missus!

Hi JD, I have a Dainese Pegaso jacket. I don't know if this is the one you
are looking at, but it is pretty heavy. Not a hot a hot weather item, to be
sure. It has a zip-out liner, but even sans liner it is pretty warm. I wear
it from about Oct. to May or early June here in So. Cal, but I have come off
the bike in the dirt twice at 30-45 mph ( once rode into a hole, once hit a
berm in the middle of a dry lakebed) and the jacket held up and protected me
better than I expected . Has the real nice dual-density foam and hard armor
in the forearm, elbow, and shoulders. Real tough cordura. Keeps you dry with
absolutely no leakage, and overall is a damn good motorcycle jacket.
