I am going to unsubscribe from the list for a month or so. A group of six KLR riders from the US and 2 Chinese riders (on Hondas) are off for a little ride. Our KLR's are being flown to Beijing this week. We meet our bikes on Monday (assuming no last minute Customs problems). The ride includes Xian China (where the terra-cotta warriors were found), the Great Wall of China, the Gobi Desert, Tibet, Mount Everest base camp, three mountain passes above 17,000 ft, into the jungles of Nepal, and ending up in Katmandu. The bikes are then going to be shipped home for a well earned rest. One member of the group (Bill Pratt) is going to try to keep a travel diary on his web site during the trip. http://homepages.msn.com/resortrd/billp117 When I get back, I will put together a trip report if anyone is interested.
