warning - chain lube question! wd40 in a scottoiler?

Send this one straight to the trash if you don't believe in WD40 in the first place... I'm not sure if this has reared its ugly head before - couldn't find anything in the archives... Could you use WD40 or a similar lube in a Scottoiler? It seems (if it works properly) to be the ideal delivery device for it...Turn it off when you go on the dirt, dump a load to get it clean quick when you get back on the tar, have it feed a regular amount when you're around town....I'm guessing you would need a higher flow rate than if you were using a regular oil, since it disappears so quick. Any fling-off would be fairly harmless I'm thinking...now I haven't seen the Scottoiler in the flesh, so I'm assuming a few things here. Am I on crack? Rich
