[dsn_klr650] help with supertrapp ids quiet

Hey Folks! I've mounted the used SuperTrapp IDS Quiet (I think that's what it is, no external markings...) and decided not to rejet until this winter so I don't miss any weekends. All I need to know now is approximately how many plates will simulate the restriction of a stock can? Ok one other question... I've read lots about mounting problems with Trapps. I can mount mine right up without a problem but the tail pipe just about touches the back fender. Is this normal? I've decided rotate the connecting pipe a bit and try to center the can between the back of the fender and the side sheld when mounted. I've fabricated a mounting bracket to keep it in place. Sound right?
