[dsn_klr650] e-mail prob? supertrapp ids

Post by Jim Jackson » Thu Aug 10, 2000 8:25 pm

Hmmmmm... sent out about 4 messages to the group today and saw only two come back. If this is a repost please excuse... I've got my SuperTrapp IDS Quiet (I think that's what it is) mounted and don't want to rejet till winter so I don't miss summer riding. I also don't want to run too lean. So how many discs should I put on to have the same restriction as a stock muffler? Thanks, Jim Jackson II A13 - South Carolina ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

generally about 4...I'd try 4 to 6 and see what feels best. On my KLR it didn't seem to make much difference...with my DR the difference is profound... Kurt

engine rebuilds

Post by Karl Raupp » Thu Aug 10, 2000 11:16 pm

Why bother if it doesn't need it? How much of an engine rebuild do you think it needs? Top end, bottom end or both? Tranny screwed up? You just KNOW it'll compound itself into a huge expensive job don't you? If you just gotta tinker, why not get a rubik's cube or something. FWIW Karl
