yep, I consider myself one of the worst offenders...I always am anxious to try something new...when I go to Moab I generally try to bring a fistful of cash (credit card) to help Fred liquidate his in stock supplies...it never fails that Fred will, by giving me his honest opinion (only if I ask), talk me out of a purchase.
