fuel filter installed
I installed a inline fuel filter. It's a FRAM part # G1. I bought it at an
automotive store this morning. Its about 1.5 in (38mm) diameter by 2 in long
(51mm) and made of see thru clear plastic so I can see the dirt. It cost me
$2.99 USA. It's a tight fit but I think it will work. I didn't remove
anything to install it. Just guessed where the line should be cut and did
it. It works ok but I think the line from the filter to the carb has too
tight of a bend. The bike runs OK with no fuel starvation on short runs
(about 2 miles), so I don't think I pinched the rubber line closed. If I had
removed some of the things in the way I could have better measured where to
cut the line and I wouldn't have to worry about a pinched fuel line.
