klr running hot now

Maybe there is something wrong with your gauge or sending unit and it's not running as hot as you think. Or it has a stuck or restricted thermistat. Also check for dirt or other crud in the radiator. Is your radiator fan turning on???? From: "Mike Awesome" Subject: KLR running hot now Since receiving my KLR back from the ill-fated valve job it has been running hotter than before. Normally the bike would run 1/4 on the temp gauge until I hit traffic at which time it would rise and stay at or near 1/2 ( it will go higher at long red lights). Now the bike will run just below half at most times and get real &^$$#in' hot in traffic , twice I have had the temp guage hit the thick danger line.
