[dsn_klr650] missing oil filter tube - back to the original que

While I enjoyed the commentary on how to dispose of used oil, that wasn't really a factor in why I had the bike serviced. Anybody in the collective have something to say about my original questions? 1) What damage may have happened/should I be on the look out for after running the KLR from 10,000km to 15,000km (6,000 - 9,000 miles) without any filtering? Probably didn't do too much damage. Don't think anyone can say for sure. Would depend a lot on whether bigger stuff got loose during that particular time period. 2) What can I/should I expect the dealership to do about this? Deny it, shuffle their feet, look away, clear their throats, assure you that it was an unimportant oversight, offer you condolences, smile a lot, laugh a little...nervously, and pat you on the back while gradually easing you toward the door.
