hey, i hoped i dont get flamed for asking this, but
has anyone riden the new bmw f650gs? its a pretty cool
lookin bike. ofcoarse it's no klr but im just curious
as to know how it handles relative to the it or the
old f650. thanks

I really like the look of that bike too, especially the Dakar version, and
more especially the race replica version. Hot dog! When the time comes
that I ever dump my KLR and get both a road bike and an off road bike, it's
one of the ones that'll be on my short list (for on road duty of coarse

I think it's a pretty expensive machine though. Around here you can get
better bikes at not much more money, like a Triumph Sprint for about $2500
CDN more. No contest there. The Tiger would be even closer to the BMW
price. Did I just take the BMW off my short list there?
The BMW does have a great warranty, decent worldwide dealer network, good
aftermarket support and a very solid user base, so that's something in it's
favour.
