It was the best of times - 3 days on the TransAmerica Trail with trail creator Sam Correro (XR600) and Russell Fisher (XR650L) of the UK. 200+ miles a day of mostly dirt. Each day very full. Rained every day and kept things cool and exciting......Avon Slipsters gave me all the challenge I could stand.......2-up, 550lb bike slip-slid'in away........Russell is attempting to ride the complete trail - Tennessee to Oregon. It was the worst of times - My driveshaft started complaining on day 3 and was forced to trailer home my beloved "Chunky" (R100GSPD). One flat tire and over than handlebars one time - ooch! Return leg - 13 hours and 780 miles Tulsa, OK to Chattanooga, TN. Yea, yea, I know........shoulda been on a ?????? Keep up with Russell's progress at: http://www.adventure-motorcycling.com Knot - who always gets shafted.
