FYI I was ordering a center stand from Dual Star (www.dual-star.com) yesterday and was told that they are going to have a tank bag soon that is made for the KLR 650. Soon to be announced. David W. [dsn_klr650] nklr torque wrenches

Post by Scherer, Michael » Fri Jul 21, 2000 4:48 pm

Chris , I fly business or coach. I am glad guys like you take pride in your work. I just watch out the window and hope that the torque wrenches have been calibrated. As for me and my KLR, I get the bolt or nut to the correct torque and say to my self "click". =^) Biker Mike -----Original Message----- From: bmgecko [mailto:bmgecko@...] Sent: Friday, July 21, 2000 1:37 PM To: DSN_klr650@egroups.com Subject: Re: [DSN_klr650] NKLR torque wrenches I shoulda said that at work, out torque wrenches get calibrated every 90 days. When you're working on an airplane (especially the national treasures I get to work on) you really need to set the bolt to 165 inch punds when the data tells you to. If you don't use the proper tool for the job, the integrity of the repair is zilch, as well as disobeying a direct order from the Secretary of the Air Force (or proper authority at the level for a local technical order..) Chris (just had ta clarify t-wrenches in my life...)
