We had six of seven that ride, ride today, of about 400 employees. I took
the opportunity to inform the plant maintenance folks that the motorcycle
parking area's too small (4 spaces).
Four of us went out for lunch, was neat. The four were made up of a Harley
Davidson Heritage, a ZRX1100, a GSXR750 & the KLR.
Swapped around going two wide. Bikes are bikes when on the road, everyone had
fun. We're going to try some different loops on Fridays, after work. Wotta
menacing looking bunch we make.

Coming out of Denny's after lunch, out of the four above mentioned
bikes...it was yours truly that the older fellow, appearing from nowhere
(with the story's about all of the bikes he's owned & ridden), centered on.
That fire was in his eyes looking at the KLR & he seemed intent on selling
his dust collectors in the garage & buying a dual sport.
Went riding with the GSXR guy after work, was great! I took him thru my
street stomping ground/loop. He of course, could achieve light speed at will,
in the straights. I led in the twisties though, on my little gp course. Got
caught in the rain halfway through the ride, saw a nice light(ning) show in
the distance. Was a blast.
The "ride to work day" can help to bridge the gap between the different bike
types (though not its intended purpose)....It's always awkward riding with
someone for the first time. We seemed to gain each others trust pretty
quickly though.
Powersports made me a nice offer today, on one of the new '99 Aprilia
Pegaso's they've got in stock. Great dual-sport, been flirting with it for a
couple of weeks now.
Can't swing two bikes right now though, & fully intend on being the last
owner of this mity KLR.
Day's been long...Went & got wordy again. All best.
