I know that many of you on the list are aware of the street worthiness of a
KLR. However, I write this to those who monitor the list but don't own a
KLR. I road the 88 KLR I bought to work this morning. The trip is 30 miles
of 2 lane highway. I found that the KLR is very comfortable on the highway.
It can easy cruise at 75mph. The stock seat is comfortable even for an 88
model. The suspension is very responsive better that my NightHawk with stock
shocks and springs. I wouldn't be afraid to put several highway miles in a
day on this bike. If you are considering a KLR; I suggest buy one, don't
wait, you won't regret it.
