[dsn_klr650] another tire question

Hi Vern
I'm still convinced that it is the rider and how (where) they ride that
determines tire choice. I ride a 1990 Transalp about 65 miles on road or 50
dirt/gravel and 20 on road depending on how I go to work each day. I am
presently running BS TW 21/22 combo and I have no complaints. I live in
Northeastern Ohio Near Lake Erie so I ride in everything from 90+ degrees in
summer to 15 degrees in winter with lots of rain/ice sleet and snow thrown
in. It looks like I will get at least 6000 miles from the rear and probably
at least 8000 from the front. I run 29psi front and rear. The Transalp is
much heavier than the KLR so your mileage may be even better. Remember, there
are about 20 tire choices for the KLR alone, and that's without mixing
styles. Obviously everyone has a preference, and besides we all like to
experiment.
Good Luck
