My last helm was all black. Didn't notice a difference with heat between
it & my white loaner. The dark colors must attract at least a little more
heat though.
The RR4 looks like one of the best helms out there. Have always liked the
Spencer model.
I ended up going with the Harada replica quantum/f . Good visibility & great
vent system. The RR4 was my first choice, economics at the time dictated the
quantum though.
Great helm and you're going to have it for a good while, get the color
that inspires you most.
I've found that any color other than black, with a dark smoke
shield...seems to attract some attention. I always kind of cock my head in
the direction of cagers with potential of pulling out in front of me.
Sometimes I'm actually looking at them & sometimes I'm scanning for other
potential dangers.
The contrast of the dark shield against the lighter colored helm, coupled
with the thought that folks seem to acknowledge that I seem to be staring at
them, may or may not contribute to the fact that nobody's pulled out in front
of me since buying the dark smoke shield & doing lots of head cocking. Or
I've just been dumb @$#! lucky.
Pardons for getting so off the temperature subject. All best.
