Idaho, try Horse Creek Pass, it is NF 38 I think, but it's easy to find from Shoup, Idaho. Also, Panther Creek Road, or Morgan Creek Road, out of Challis. For more rugged terrrain, try Loon Creek Road, near Custer. There is the Magruder Road, between the Selway River and Red River Hot Springs...100 miles on nice twisty dirt road. Northern CA, there are many nice stretches of pavement or dirt...take nice twisties on pavement and veer off on NF roads...try CA 96, 3, 36, for starters...there is a lot of riding up there ("Northern" Northern CA). I don't have a lot to offer on Eastern WA, there are some outstanding rides to be had in the Cascades, however. It's one of those things...you have to "just do it"...the roads are already there, it's you that's not. Backroad Bill N. Ca.
