wires with no connection under the front fairing

Does anyone know what the brown/white and black/yellow wires inside
the front fairing, which do not connect to anything, are for.
They do not show on the wiring diagram for my '99 but do show in the
workshop manual for the '00. They not connect to anything in the
diagram either.
