Ok I can't resist. Here is the method of fluid syphoning my father taught me about 25 years ago when I need gas out of his pickup for my dirtbike (after the "If I ever catch you taking gas without asking..." speech): Insert hose into tank that has fuel, use your thumb as a valve while withdrawing and re-inserting the hose rapidly to create suction and draw fuel to your thumb, place outer end in container when fuel reaches your thumb and voila, begin syphoning. The idea here is free your mouth to either tell lies or drink beer (or both) while getting your fuel. This method has worked countless times for me, but always on a large scale (automotive source with large syphon hose) but it should work on a small scale too. Later, Rob
