RE: Darien Pants (nklr)
Hi Brian, I wear the Darien pants under my jeans. I have a 38" waist, and that's the size I ordered from Aerostich and they fit real well. Plus they are very adjustable with a sturdy belt, and velcro tabs all over the place. I've been able to tighten them up for cold mornings, and loosen them up for warm days. Being black, they can get warm when you're not moving and sitting in the sun. I also noticed that they are fairly bulky, and walking around in them I tend to make swishing sounds, which is not too macho. For off road technical riding, they are a bit heavy and bulky. I'm looking into a pair of MX pants for the serious dirt rides (that I rarely have time for). But they feel great on the road.
I don't have any experience with the draggin jeans, but I would be interested in hearing how people like them. I read a review on them a while ago, can't remember where, but I do remember that they commented on the lack of kevlar in the hip area on the sides of the jeans. Otherwise, they thought they were a great alternative to plain cotton jeans that don't do to good when its asphalt vs. cotton. -Ed
