[dsn_klr650] kick start kit for 2001?
Dan when the 96 and later bikes got the bigger cranks and clutch baskets
along with the upgraded balancers the possibility of the kick start option
went away. It has to do with some internal interference with parts because
of the bigger clutch basket I believe.

[dsn_klr650] kick start kit for 2001?
This is interesting... i never even knew that there was a kit available. I own a 1987 model (Italian import) that's in such good condition that i intend to keep it. I'd like to get a kick start on it for emergencies if possible... Can someone tell me whether i need a specialist kit of whether i need to order the parts from Kawasaki.
Many thanks

Relax, its just the tires, as you suspected. One of the joys of running a knobby on the street. I sometimes have fun with mine for amusement on long rides, try to play a tune by quickly changing your lean angle. I've got "Happy Birthday" down. Maybe I'll work on some Mozart next.
