Since you have 40 years experience and 25 bikes, trust your gut because it's probably correct. That "something's not right" feeling has never ever failed me. I say go to another shop and at the very least get the oil changed again and IMHO make sure it's Kawasaki 20W 50W. The dealer that I purchased my bike from did a terrible job on my 500 mile "first" service, lied to me, and had an attitude. I never went back there again. I found a much better authorized Kawasaki shop and all is well. In my part of the country you don't see many dirt or dual sport bikes. The dealer I bought my bike from had all street bikes and only one KLR in the showroom. I think the mechanics didn't have much experience with these bikes. The new place I found has half of their showroom dedicated to dirt & dual sport bikes and the mechanics know them very well. -Brian Shepard Philadelphia PA A13 -----Original Message----- From: gbeese1005@... Also I am an old rider with 40 years experience and 25 models owned including big singles. I expected vibration with my new klr but was pleasantly surprised until I got my 600 mile check at dealer. When I got the bike back vibration was terrible and I returned to dealer. Unkown changes improved vibration but now I think the bike is running hot. On highway the water temperature is ok but as soon as I make a couple of stop lights the fan is kicking on even in 60 to 70 degree air temperature. Is that normal for a klr650? What could of the dealer have done at the 600 mile check that would increase vibration and temperature? Any thoughts would be appreciated, I really like this motorcycle and am worried that it is not set up right and continued use like it is will harm it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lonely?
