South Park the Movie is where I got the "...flappy-head" reference. It comes from the Canadians in the film all having the tops of their heads separate from the lower part of their heads when they talk.... *lol* (Pretty realistic, huh?) It's also where the "aboot" came from. CCA (When Canada is dead and gone, there'll be no more Celine Dion!-South Park)

When I was across the pond I had a rather humorous dialog with some Brits I met in a pub. For the Americans; English Pubs are very different from American bars in that English pubs are much more social. Standing up and reciting poetry or starting a sing along is not unusual. Something you just don't do in American bars. It was soon discovered that I was American and I soon realized that I wasn't getting out of there without a scratch. It was then I noticed a somewhat rowdy, but friendly "chap" stand up and say, "Eay look, an American. Hey everyone, lets all put on our crash helmets and touch pads (referring to American football)." That got a big laugh. Mustering up some courage I replied, "They're not called crash helmets, we don't touch pads, and we certainly don't stand up and recite poetry." That got an even bigger laugh and then I was okay. Rough crowd, but all in good fun. Skip, are you refering to the "Stridelite" made by Nitebright? It is a reflective sash and belt with a battery pack, and lights up, flashing, like a giant Times Indiglo watch? I had one, and loved it, but it quit working after a ride in the rain, and then later a free replacement from the store I bought it at also quit after getting wet. Several emails to the company, and they finally admitted that they had a wiring proble that they were working on fixing, but they never replaced my Stridelite sash, since it had been over a year since my first one was purchased. I hope they got the problem fixed, because I also purchased one on-line the other night. I loved the product, but wish it was more reliable. Jeff
