Go Pets I have a suggestion. I never park in regular spaces. For example; at my local super market, I park in a corner of the parking lot where a big street light is. The street light is surrounded by a white painted circle. I park next to the light inside the painted circle. I see some other motorcycles park next to the bicycle racks. I never park in the street in the city, I park it up on the side walk next to the curb. Police don't hassle me because I'm not blocking the walk-way and I free up a space for a car. I live in a high rise apartment building that has a big parking lot in the rear of the building. My apartment is on the ground floor in the back outside corner of the high rise. I park my bike right next to my living room window. Its the ultimate setup for a city dweller. I'm stoked. When I work on my bike, I open my living room window and put all my tools on the windowsill. I go outside to work on the bike and have everything at my finger tips. I even run an air compressor through my window out to my bike. Its like a mini parking lot away from the regular parking lot. Two other tenants park their bikes there also. If you do park in regular spaces, I would suggest that you don't pull all the way in. IN other words, make sure your tail  is visible to would be parkers and turn your key all the way to park so the tail light stays on. Sometimes if you're looking for a space you can be fooled if someone has a Honda civic and pulls all the way into the space. Coming up on the space it looks like its empty until the last second. Given the way people drive in Philly (maniacs) they drive too fast in parking lots and would probably think the space is empty and floor it pulling into the space thus crashing into the motorcycle. Then they would try to sue you and make it look like it was your fault claiming some made up injury. If they're well connected in this corrupt city, they would win in a court of Philly corrupt law. Being an honest law abiding citizen, I wouldn't stand a chance in hell in a court in this city so I'm very very careful. Good luck.   -Brian Shepard  Philadelphia PA  A13

First time, the driver looked me up and found me and PAID a rather exorbitant estimate from the dealer which I used to outfit the KLR with the latest goodies from Fred in Hinkville. The latest  jerk drove off leaving me with a broken windshield and a loose acerbis hand guard. Guess I'll have to order the taller windshield from Fred like I have planned. I'm really getting tired of getting nailed in the parking lot. Suggestions?
