Folks, some riders are smart enough to lay a bike down. Maybe those that
question such an action, aren't. Experience will dictate when. Skill will
dictate how. Some occurrences don't give you time to make the choice. If I
have the split second to make the choice, I have and will, lay it down.
I've witnessed three fatal motorcycle accidents. One of the accidents could
have been avoided if the rider had been more cautious. He didn't have the
time to choose a course of action. The other accidents the riders chose to
ride it out. Both had the time to lay it down and chose not to. Both
probably would be here today if they had laid it down.
On the ground is far safer than in the air. If you know a motorcycle cop
ask him the question.
Laying a bike down is one more trick to stay alive. Don't think you are so
wonderfully skilled you won't ever have to, "Lay It Down".

John Lyon's instincts were correct. Dual Star also has the fairing frames
as well as the fairing itself. I recently obtained one from them to repair
a mishap. It was quite reasonably priced.
