Thanks to all the listers who responded to my query about renting bikes. I think I may have to take Toby's advice and ride the "wet ones" for a few days but I'll have my passport anyway just in case I happen upon the opportunity to take a smaller thumper into the more Mexican areas for exploration. And thanks for the heads up on the rip tides, Ed. I hadn't heard about any problems there so it's good that I have now.
