cabella's tank bags

Jeff and others. I have a set of these I bought for my DR350 a couple
years ago. #1.. They are great and small...
#2 You have to enlarge the fuel cap opening for it to fit. At least did
on the DR with the IMS fuel tank.
#3 Will have to add some softer material to the inner or it will scratch
the paint.
#4 The front strap is not secure enuff to hold them down at +50 mph. You
need to incorporate a different strap with a D ring or as good. The
Velcro does not hold.
I used some small plastic bags as you get some merchandise in and I
leave them in as an inner liner to keep all dry.
But they are worth the trouble to set them up properly. I love them and
have used them on my KLR...
I have a set of the Aero large tank panniers I use on my BMW but find
them a bit large for the KLR and I really don't carry as much junk on
the KLR
....
I hope to have the little write up of my TAT trip thru Arkansas with a
pic of the DR350 loaded for the 1st half of the Trail. The rest of the
Trail was done with the KLR and no camping equipment, just saddlebags
and tankbag....
