Personally, I have had nothing but good use from the Maxxis C6006s, they wear well, work good in funky stuff, are pretty cheap, and have quite good road manners as well. I've gone through several sets.  I guess it's about 6000 miles to fronts, and about 5000 to rears.  My bike does cup the fronts, on any tire, it seems.  Just thought you'd like to know.  Others may agree, and others still may disagree.  I like the cheap tire angle myself - I see too many people paying too much for stuff, all kinds of stuff.
Did you try having your front tire professionally spin balanced?  That might help to lessen the cupping.  You could also check your rim to see if it is out of round.   Jeff
