My friends and I once rode through an open gate on the perimeter of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation in order to get to some awesome sand dunes inside the fence. We were chased by the Hanford Patrol (a paramilitary security force under the dept. of Energy) for a good half hour before they finally cornered us just outside of town, but it was a pretty wild chase across the desert. Us: three kids on dirt bikes. Them: 3 FAV's (Chenowith Fast Attack Vehicles, each with a mounted M-60), two Chevy Blazers, and one UH-1 Huey. I was 15 at the time, and after I paid a $200 fine to get my bike out of impound, my father locked it up with the hugest chain I have ever seen for two months. They took their security pretty serious during the Regan era. Jeff> teen drive more scared (or faster) than I did trying to outrun 3 > helicopters!
