Listees, I just got a Garmin GPS3+ for fathers day/birthday/Christmas present. So I have few questions. 1. I got it here in Maryland is "seems" that it was preloaded with the higher info stuff for here but not for other places. T/F ? I am going to Jacksonville, FL. for a month so I don't "think" I will have the detail that I need. 2. I looked on the net and got freeware for interfacing with a map/atlas program. Should I get the GARMIN brand or something else? I work on Military GPS equipment on the ground and while I fly so I know how to program it and all but just want to get the most without spending and arm and a leg. The USN does not pay me that much to get all these different map CD's just to try them out and find out it is junk (I know that is the GOVT. way not mine). I just don't want to wait till next Christmas to get the "right CD" for this.
